Because Art Heals creates quiet, thoughtfully designed products for the grief journey, grounded in the belief that art can offer meaning, reflection, and comfort when words fall short. The work is guided by care, honesty, and respect for the complexity of loss, creating objects that can be returned to over time.
This work began after my mother passed away. I had no idea how hard grief would be, or how often language would fail me. In those moments, I found myself turning to art, not for answers, but for presence.
With my lifelong love of art and design, I created the Because Art Heals card deck as a gentle companion for grief. The deck pairs iconic works of art with quiet reflections and permissions. It is not meant to fix or rush healing, but to offer a pause and a place to sit with what is present.
This has grown into an evolving collection of reflections, prints, memorial pieces, and thoughtful objects created to bring beauty, meaning, and comfort into difficult moments. I listen closely, continue refining the work, and remain deeply committed to creating things that genuinely help people feel seen. New ideas are always emerging, and I approach the work with curiosity, care, and a relentless desire to make it better.
